Class Description: Timmons Group is the master development consulting firm for Magnolia Green which, when complete, will constitute nearly 4,900 homes on 4,000 acres. It is the largest master-planned community in the Central Virginia area. More than 20 designers and drafters representing several design sectors are collaborating to create Magnolia Green's overall design, including land planning, drainage, environmental protection, water and sewer systems, and more. The Magnolia Green project will include office, retail, and residential design, as well as schools and recreational areas. The project is expected to keep the developer and Timmons Group staff busy for at least the next 15 years. How Timmons Group plans to manage a project of this magnitude is the focus of this class.
