Wondering if there is a way to "open" a door
when doing an interior walkthrough. If not, what is
the best option.

I do not believe you can animate objects in Revt. You could splice video together to simulate it however. But not natively in Revit.

You'd need a walk-through that brings you to the door and then several frames of the door changed to several stages of opening. Literally like making a movie with clay or something...every frame staged. Then once through the door you can use a second walk-through.

You could cut a single walk-through and "splice" the individual frames in between too I suppose, but you going to need some decent software for that?

There is always exporting a model to use in viz I suppose? But you'd need to replace the door and part of the wall with viz objects I believe.

You can do that by linking your model in viz/max as what Steve said. Once in viz/max you just animate your door or any objects you want to be animated no need to change any of your object to a native viz/max object.
