Updating system

I have been task to make recommendation for system upgrade, If there is no limit ($) on purchasing computers what would be the ideal system? can someone give me some recommendation on CPU, model and cost?

Go with Dell's you can customize what you need. Get as much Ram as possible, along with a good video card with at least 19' monitor, the rest is up to you. Good Luck.

The HT models work well for highend CAD work. Although I haven't really seen much of a difference between the 515 and 520 chipset other than that. Get the fastest front side bus they offer as well. 833 or better. Try to avoid the Video card built into the motherboard though, usually not as good a card.
