You know how you can set up multiple divisions for sections and elevations. Why not for plans. Think of the possibility's. Right now I can't have a col display 2 different ways in 2 different plan. ie one plan the column goes through the floor plate, in the other it stops at the floor line. Solid in one plan hidden in another. Because about the only way I can think of to do something like this is if you have your object display settings set to by layer, and a whole bunch of layers in order to do the display control you need.
One of the Big ideas behind ADT was that layers came in automatically. So doing something like this with layers wouldn't be fun.
You've built a 3d model, why not be able to show whats on the cut plane, one way, what's 3' below the cut line (ie your floor slab) one way and what's below the floor slab hidden. This functionality seems to be missing from my point of view. You have the option to set elevations (upper and lower) with section tools and elevations tools, but not in plan.
What are you supposed to do with mulit level roofs. I've been on projects where we had a penthouse roof, a low roof, and a high roof. All levels were with in about 10' of elevation. You want to show the extents of the roofs below, but you'd want to see them screened. This means having to set up a lot of different things to get what you want, and you productivity just went out the window.

It only makes sense to have an ability to look down on the roof of a building and see the extents of the entire roof without have to draw it twice.
