Anyone know if the min. hardware spec have changed from 5 to 6.
My laptop gives Revit error message re "pre highlighting" being slow and recommends setting acceleration to "none" - which doesn't work- although reducing acceleration does. Only a 8meg card so not really surprising, but it is fine with v5.
This could just be the excuse for a new laptop.

I'm having the same problem.

I was getting the same error, I turned off acceleration and that fixed it

Ditto here.

The only difference I noticed with the acceleration off is that I have to zoom in closer to select some objects.

Could you guys post the make and model of your card? I'd like to see if there is some correlation here.

thanks,

NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 Pro (P4 1.6 Ghz, 512 MB RAM, Win 2000). I have played around with acceleration and I can get either 6.0 to work or 5.1 to work, but not both at the same time.

Ed.: Acceleration off and no Open GL seems to have both working now.

I have the same problem with my PC. It has the Nvidia Geforce2 MX/MX400 card with 64mb RAM. Why is it, this is the only piece of software I have that requires the Hardware acceleration to be set to "none"? Revit 5.1 still screams on my machine, but not 6.0. Even with Hardware acceleration turn off, it's still sluggish.

Same problem here....

HP P4 1.7, 1 gig RAM, ATI Rage Pro 4XL 16 MB DDR SGRAM Video card, video driver version 6.60-010926m-1476c-ATI

Harward acceleration set to "off" is the only thing that works. When I first tried this, walls on Level 1 would not display. They would 'ghost' when hoovering over them, and would display in all other views. I restarted Revit, (hardware accel off) and everything seems fine now.

I've also had the same problem on my Dell Inspiron 8200 - Nvidia Geforce 2go - 32mb. Solved it by changing my resolution from 1600x1200 down to 1280x1024. Adjusting hardware acceleration in the Control Panel didn't help.

I never had this problem with 5.1. Is it a vram problem? Or a bug? Or a video chipset issue?
