[Error: 1603] Fatal error during installation

Anyone run into this error? trying to install 2006 client setup (from client image on network) hangs right after trying to install .Net Framework Runtime SP1.

Workstation is XP SP2

Try the following from the Microsoft web site -

You receive an "error 1603: A fatal error occurred during installation" error message when you try to install a Windows Installer package (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;834484)
