Is there a way to link a saved layer state to a paper space tab?
For example, I have a floor plan and a reflected ceiling plan in the same file and I use the layer manager to switch between the two. I also have a paper space tab for each with a tittle block and plot my file from paper space, however when I switch paper space tabs, I also have to use the layer manager to view the corresponding layers. I know I can freeze the layers I do not want to see through the viewport but I was wondering if there was a way just to click on the tabs and it will set the layer state?

Yes. I've posted code in the past. Search the forums and the Exchange. I can't remember where it is at.

Grab LOSWITCH.DVB from
Dotsoft's Free Tools (http://www.dotsoft.com/freestuff.htm)

The DotSoft software is OK in theory, but crash heavy in practice. I unloaded it after 2 hours if fiddling with it. At least with the layer applications that we are looking for (managing 400+ layers) it was extremely slow and counter productive, and actually a nuisance if you just wanted to view a paperspace layout without waiting for the layer state to kick in. I am sure if the DotSoft software was better tweaked it could work better, but in my opinion it is only a "theory/good idea software" , not an applicable software. Just my two cents.

All that LOSWITCH does is issue an AutoCAD layer state restore when a layoutswitch event fires. It does not manipulate the layers directly, therefore any speed or stability issues you may have would be attributed to AutoCAD.

Is there a trick that I am missing in attempting to run "LOSWITCH"?
I am looking for a way to restore layer states for each tab and wanted to try this.
