Resequence Problem?

When we try to run the resequence command, ACAD E opens the drawing, saves it and then tries to open the "original" drawing again and generates a read only error. This problem comes and goes so it it just more annoying then anything. Has anyone else ran across this problem?

I ran in to this same problem with AE 2004, on a vary large 300+ drawing project.
The company I was sub-contracted to had a customized batch plot routine.
My work around was to limit the number of pages to less than 100.
I'm sorry I do not know how the final fix was made.
