2 questions:
How can I set up tool palletes so that every user has the same palletes???
Also, how can I ensure that the palletes refresh when new blocks are added?
I have seen several posts but I am having a hard time putting the details together.
Does anybody have a tutorial for this???

#1 place them on the network and make them read only, change the path to point to the network location in autocad on all the users machines.
#2 if you update the master the next time the user starts acad it should show the change.
#2.5 i'm trying using grouping the blocks in deawings and creating the palettes from there. just make sure you have the drawings called what you want and located on the network cuz it hard paths in a text file.
hope that helps.

Not sure if that will work for me........I am using 2006 and I want to use the drag/drop feature to add blocks to the tool palletes. Is it possible that if a user adds a block to
the tool pallete, the same block will show up for other users?

yes if it is on a network and all users reference it. but remember if they can add block they can also be removed and this will affect all the users.
by locating the tool palette on the network you can have the same thing available to all, this makes keeping standards easy. you can use the drag and drop to add to the tool palette. just remember to make it read only when you are done updating it. even though it is read only the user can move things around on their system without messing up the master.
if you want the user to have full control i would create a standard tool palette and copy it to the users machine. that way the start off right, they can play with it and you have a good copy if you need to replace it. but it makes it more difficult to add new blocks.

I managed to get everything to work.......I'm not really concerned about users editing the tool palletes as I only have 3 users in my department. I just needed the have the 3 users share the blocks that are created. This works really good, thanks for your help.
