Has anyone every seen a lisp routine that could rotate a block (like a north arrow that points out North, South, East, and West). I would like to rotate the block and as I rotate it the letters within the block always stay at rotation 0. Is this possible ?

Dotsoft has something called insrot.lsp (http://www.dotsoft.com/freestuff.htm) available free off their website that does what you're looking for.

I tried the lisp from dotsoft and it does not seem to work. Or I am just not doing it right.

I tried the lisp from dotsoft and it does not seem to work. Or I am just not doing it right. I don't know. It's an ancient lisp so it may not work on newer versions -I haven't looked at in a long time.
If that's not helping you, there are dozens of threads on this topic at the discussions.autodesk.com (http://discussion.autodesk.com/search.jspa?numResults=25&source=viewforum%7C130&q=rotate+attributes&inputEntered=true&objID=f130&search.x=13&search.y=7) website. They can probably answer your question.

If the text is an attribute , you can try the Routine in this Thread (http://ww3.cad.de/foren/ubb/Forum54/HTML/010388.shtml#000005)
