What software are you using for the rendering? If this is vanilla AutoCAD I am very impressed!

well thank you for the reply. yes, I am using AutoCAD2002. everything was done on AutoCAD.
I have never used any other software but would like to try inventor or solid edge sometime.
the kitchen photo I have posted was done the same way.
once again, thanks for the compliment.

If the kitchen looks this great, I can only imagine the rest of the house - got a few spare rooms for me and my family to move in to LOL :)
Seriously, looks very nice

very nice!
gotta wonder for those who design their own projects like this, do you have your spouse over your shoulder going... I don't like that shade of green... let's try ...'shady pine 0137' (handing you samples to match from the home depot) or... move that bathroom... etc. ;)
(I have a feeling they're always impressed at the beginning, but, then get very demanding... lol)

thanks Melanie,
you're too funny! that is a home depot shade of green that I scanned in and yes my wife does lQQk over my shoulder. she's very good at designing and i'm good at stretching 3D models...good thing!
I really like this AUGI site. I'm finding it very useful.

;) glad you think so... you're fitting in nicely...
personally, I have two favorite shades of green... one, I don't recall the name of, is somewhat similar to the color in your model, that I used in the (bottom portion only) of the bedroom in my old house. The other is called 'Estes Park', which is the shade of darker green that you can find in shutters at lowe's and home depot, looks really good against red brick.
I only asked because my ex had always wanted to build a home, and I had made a few plans for him... he was really impressed when I did a couple views in 3d (not the whole home), but, got really picky after awhile, and finally I'm like, 'you do it then!'
'but, but, I don't know how...'
'well, then, stop being a backseat driver.' lol. <- now, if only I could say that sort of thing here at _ork... ;)

Looks good, like it was done in max!
I find AutoCAD's rendering is too cumbersome to render to that extent.
How long did the render take?

I really like the detail work on the wood floor. Another great render. Keep it up.
