Pre-highlighting performance

I consistently get the warning about pre-highlighting performance since upgrading to 6.0.

Will upgrading my video card solve this? (The warning mentions lowering my screen resolution which is why I am thinking it will help.)

I had major display problems, where Revit 6.0 was pausing for an annoyingly long time when pre-highlighting objects. I had to turn Harware Acceleration off completely to make it better. Then only thing this seems to have affected, is when using the Wall Join tool, the temporary light lines that were displayed to show the join condition are no longer showing up in plan.
