I'm really needing a style for 2.5K Bar joists. I've tried modifying the 8" bar joist style but I can't figure out how to get rid of the webbing.
I've also tried doing the Mass Element thing. I should be able to do that without any trouble . . . but it's one of those days. I just can't get it to work.

Help please....

Are you basically wanting a 2.5VS shape? (essentially the 2 1/2" seat that is continuous)
I have created one that I could send you. Or if you want to try to edit yours, you need to remove the custom blocks found in the display properties (on the other tab when you edit display properties of the style) You will need to do this for all views (model and elevation).

would ya send it to me? I don't want to seem lazy, but this is one of those crunch times. We have a deadline tomorrow and I've already been here for about 12 hours. Thanks.

Another approach you could take is to create a custom structural member from existing line work. Here is an example. I did this in a real hurry, but it should give you an idea of what to do - I used ADT 2006.

I don't think he is needing a full truss, since those are already included. What he was looking for is used for short spans, and is essentially 2 - 2 1/2" channels back to back. It is basically the 2 1/2" seat of a K-joist. The way I created one of these is to take a standard joist and get rid of the bars, the top & bottom chord, and just extend the seat the full length.
I'll post it here, if anyone else is interested.

I see now. Nice job on the top chord.

Sorry for not posting sooner, but I just noticed this post. I don't have a 60", but I do have a 54" and a 70". I must have made those for a specific project, because I don't see them in the standard sizes in the Vulcraft catalog.

I could fairly easily make one for you, I just don't know how soon I could get to it. Probably within a week or so.
