Ive recently reinstalled my mechanical Desktop 6 & AutoCAD 2002, but on opening the AutoCAD 2002, the majority of the buttons icons on the screen are displaying the yellow smiley face instead of their usual icons. The buttons icons within Mechanical Desktop are all displaying their correct icons.

If anyone can tell me how to return the icons to their correct format I would be most grateful.

AutoCAD, when loading can't find the path where the button icons are located. When AutoCAD can't find that path, you get smiley faces on your toolbars.
It's been a while since I've used 2002, and I don't remember where those button icons are located. sorry.

If you check someone else's computer, with their autocad open and button displaying properly, check where their paths are, and check to make sure your paths are where your files are located.

Pull downs, tools, options, then tab for files.
that is where the paths for different requirements are located.
