Door problems

Can anyone help me? i have created the attached doors but when i go to place it in my model it says " can't create door type" what have i done?

Usually a family won't allow for wall thickness changes properly when this error occurs. Try flexing the wall thickness in your family and see.

I don't see any attached doors so I don't know what the problem is but if you download some uk internal doors from the Revit Download Centre you will find they are set up to respect changes in wal thickness. Might give you a starting point for your own model or something you can use straight out of the box.

i thought i had attached it . i'll try again, what is flexing the wall? have only been on revit about four months. i'll try to attach door again!!!

re attached door: I think you have used an annotation symbol in your attempt to form a door. Suggest trying again. go to file/new/family/door (find appropriate door family i.e imperial door.rft ) alternatively open existing door that is close to your requirements and modify that. Save as required then load family item into project.
