need phasing for RVT imports

why can i not find a way to put an RVT import in a certain phase? can it not be done? or am i looking into this way too hard. also, if this cannot be done, is there anyway around this? its hard to believe it cant be done since i recently found out most revit users are using this rvt import option a lot more than i have been-so i cant be the only one with this problem, right?

i appreciate any help possible and thank you ahead of time for getting me the information to finish my project asap.

You need to create the phases in the rvt your are importing, then I believe you can set it in the view visibility, see attached.
