Ok so i'm venturing into worksets for 1st time.
Was half way through laying out a site concept plan and realised i had to show indicative Stage 2. So moved to worksets and renamed original Stage 1 and created new Stage 2. That went well.
Did some work in stage 2 (with stage 1 visible but greyed)
then came back to stage 1 and now cannot edit text that is in stage1 (was added previously to moving to workstes)

Any ideas whats wrong

Thanks
Ken

Simply right click on the text and select Make elements editable.

Once worksets are enabled you must have permission to edit the workset before any changes can be made to elements within the workset.

From the sounds of it you may want to look into phasing as well as worksets.

Thanks Dimitri - but didn't work

you cannot even select the text or drafting line

"make editable" is greyed out when right clicking over the text

ken

edit - sorry none of the element specific right click options are there - its only showing the "view" right click options

I know this sounds pretty basic but is the view active?

Uncheck the "Editable Only" box at the top, it will then allow you to pre-highlight non-editable objects, as well as right-click on them and make them editable.

Thanks that works - but it doesn't explain why all the drafting elements (lines text etc) went into a non editable workset when i created worksets with the drawing in was in the middle of .

i told revit to move all the drawing to "stage1" workset when i set them up??

There are user worksets (3D)
Family worksets (family porpeties)
Project Standards worksets
View worksets (2D)

All drafted item belong to the view workset wich you probably hadn't checked out.
