Two plumb cut for wide flange beam

Hi,

is there a way to do "Two Plumb Cut" for wide flange beam?

Tobin,
I do not think you can use the stock library shapes to produce the plumb cut. You will have to "create" a family with the shape you want by using solid modeling.

First, use a sweep solid to create the beam member (load a WF profile from the detail component libraries). Then make a void solid shape to create the plumb cut.

Those two object will make up the family you want.

I have not tried this though but I've read somewhere in the tutorial that you can cut the built in wide flange family with a ref plane by using cut geometry.

I'll give it a try once I'm back in the office.

Yeah it does work just use a ref plane and cut geometry to create plumb cut.
