I am using Acad Electrical 2004 and there are some bugs in the software.
For instance if I use quick select without selecting anything first the program crashes.
I can only have one drawing open at a time, cannot window between drawings.
I cannot plot line weights, to a HP 5500 plotter, all the lines come up thin and hard to read.
When the program crashes I send the error report to Autodesk every time and they never get back to me ( I did fill out the form with my name and contact number).
I checked the website and there isn't any fixes for this.
Can anyone help?

Hi Chris
Please note I have *moved* this thread from the Software (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=117) forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.
Thanks, Mike

Firstly, <sarcasm on> there's no such thing as 'bugs', they're called 'features'. <sarcasm off> ;-)

I've not encountered this problem myself, as I don't use quick select - sorry.

This one was deliberate by Autodesk, and it is not actually anything wrong with AutoCAD Electrical. What it is, (as far as I can make out) is that the interface between the drawings and the AutoCAD Electrical Database was only capable of dealing with one drawing at a time. This is no longer an issue with 2006 as it can deal with drawings in MDI (Mulitple Drawing Interface) mode.

This one sounds more like an issue with your plot settings or your CTB file. Check that the line thicknesses are correct in your CTB by clicking the button to the right of where you selected the CTB file.

I have never seen AutoDesk get back to anyone yet with information regarding an error report. If you require support on any AutoDesk product then I suggest that you have two options - either you can contact the company that you bought it from and hope against hope that they actually know something about your particular product, or you can do what I now do and come straight here before I even waste my time on a phonecall to my dealer.
Hoipe this helps.

I don't think it is a ctb. issue because 2004 electrical dose the very same thing with our hp 1050c , I hope that there is a patch or something ,any suggestions
