And that is as long a title as they allow 'round these here parts!

Here...if you use ARchitxt font, then check this out:

Ed: I suppose I could have turned off grammar check when I screen capped it ;)

Very nice Greg.

But I'm a bit concerned, how often do you use the latin capital letter A with a grave, in your drawings ? :D

I don't use it Àll thÀt much, but it's pÀrt of the speciÀl chÀrÀcters thÀt come with the ÀRchitxt font. ÀnywÀy, I hÀve included Àll of the chÀrÀcters Ànd their keystrokes for your use.

ThÀnks, and I hø¶e yøu ½ a g®eÀt dÀy!

Yes, but you must be sure to use the 10-key number pad when entering the numbers. Is that not working?

This is one of those pesky little timesavers that I keep meaning to do for myself but never find the time. (Maybe I'm spending too much time posting to bulletin boards. ...Nahhhh, can't be. :) ) Thanks for sharing Greg.

Exactly my thoughts. Sure beats opening the character map every time and looking for the correct code!

Kudos and thanks on this one, Greg. I can now clear away about a dozen Post-It notes® [™???] surrounding my monitors.

Same results, one less keystroke(Archtxt & other fonts):

½ Alt+171
¼ Alt+172
° Alt+176 (only on archtxt) & °(others and Archtxt)
± Alt+177 (only Archtxt) & ± Alt+241 (other fonts& Archtxt)
÷ Alt+246

Other useful symbols for other fonts (don't work w/ Archtxt):

ƒ Alt+159
π Alt+227 (pi symbol, cannot show with this type of font)
Σ Alt+228
Φ Alt+232
∞ Alt+236
√ Alt+251 (square root)

If you want these to be readily accessible (or any other info... telephone locals, site phone numbers, frequently used code info etc) convert the GIF generously provided by Greg to a GIF/BMP/JPEG image sized for your desktop and use it as wallpaper. Hit the special windows key + D to bring up your desktop and voila, instant reference.
Avoids the Post-it gunk getting on your laptop screen

The thing is, I hate how Architxt prints to PDF using the Revit PDF writer. It's ****! I oughta make a list of supported fonts for it...

In PDF Writer properties click Printing Preferences button on General tab.
Next click Advanced and in resulting dialog find Document Options | PostScript Options | TrueType Font Download Option. Make sure that it is set to Outline. This may fix your font problems.
