Plotting to TIFF images

I have an issue I haven't found any threads about:

When plotting drawings with output to TIFF image files using TIFF Version 6 (CCITT G4 2D Compression) there is no merge lines option and paperspace appears "on top" even if the "plot paperspace last" option is unchecked. I have gray profile grid lines in paper space which plot on top of black lines in the profile floating viewport. I have a workaround which is to use black dotted lines of differing thickness to produce a similar appearance to shades of gray.

I'd like to know if the plotting order problem is a local problem with my AutoCAD or is this how AutoCAD always does it? Should this be listed as a bug or should fixing it be added to the wishlist?

Thanks for the reply.
I read through them and there are no solutions offered.
Some think there are merge lines controls in newer versions of AutoCAD for the TIFF output I specified but there are not. It is just wishful thinking on their part.

Where does one add items to the wish list?

P.S. is is easy to plot output directly to TIFF files of higher resolutions than 100dpi. With the driver I've indicated the file sizes for 300dpi ANSI D (22"x34") sheets range from as small as 34KB to no more than about 2.5MB. The average size is about 400-500KB. All that is required is to add a paper size that matches the dimensions in pixels required of your specified resolution. e.g. ANSI D (22"x34") at 300dpi requires a sheet size of 6600 pixels x 10200 pixels. Set plot scale at 300 pixels = 1"
