View Full Version : Try it again
I don't know how this stuff works.
The image is only 59kb but when I try to upload I get a message saying that I exceed my 5mb limit. ?????????

JTF, you can edit your own posts. Looks like you are trying to attach an image. First, click on the Add an Attachment button. Then Browse to find your attachment, and then click Add Attachment. Wait for the post to process. Then submit your post.
I follow the process but still won't upload. ????
No Idea. I will try again.

If you are at your 5MB limit you will need to use the attachment control panel to remove some old uploads. If the current upload exceeds 5MB then look at what it is and what can be done with it. If its an RVT try purging and deleting some of the model to target the bit you want to draw people's attention to.

JTF,
I have encountered the same problem in the past. I had assumed that it was fixed but I guess not. I can't offer a solution but I just wanted you to know that even if you are doing everthing right it might not work. I was able to work around it by emailing the file to one of the moderators and having them attach it using their administrative powers. I would also send a personal message to Chris Zoog with the relevant details (browser name and version, operating system, connection details, file size, etc.) so that he can look into it.

JTF,
If you look at your attachment control panel, you are very close to your 5mb upload limit (~400k left). This limit is the total comulative size of all the attachments you have posted during your history here on the board.
Try deleting a few of the older ones to free up space. You can do this clicking on the porfile button below you name in any post you have made, or clicking on your name in the memeber list. You will see a bar graph telling you your upload limit as well as how much space you are taking up on the server.
If you truly need more space I can do this, with my almighty powers
