I have been tasked with taking a floor plan and converting it to a single line drawing, complete with extractable coordinated for all corners in the drawing. Does anyone have any comments or ideas on how to go about this task?
Thanks in advance.

Are you using just AutoCAD 2006?
Are your existing walls just on one layer (by themselves)?
Just trying to get a feel for your setup....

ACAD 2006
Walls would be separated into layers based on construction materials.

I have been tasked with converting architectural drawings into single line schematics with no void space. Can anyone think of a routine that will assist me in this endeavor. :banghead:

Hi Charlie
Please note I have merged the above post with your original thread ( ie This thread ).
Why? - Both relate to the same query, question - therefore it greatly helps the process if everything is kept in one place... people coming to offer assistance / help are able to see the complete picture so far...
Thanks, Mike

I'm not sure if this will help, but it might: I have this lisp file that asks you to select two lines, then places a line midway between them, then using a crossing window you can delete the original lines. You would then have to clean up all the intersections, but at least it would be a start. Maybe someone out there can improve upon this.
