Workset conflicts

Is it possible for two individuals to have the same workset? If wish to modify an item and the item is editable by an individual, then his/her name should be the only name I see in a prompt for a request. Is this correct in the workset theory?

In 8.1, if nobody checks the workset out, you can just borrow as you go, fairly transparently, and unless you're working right on top of each other, you hardly ever even need to request a borrow.
