LockFile

I see in some of my directories the following

LockFile.lck

I've not seen these before. What are they? What do they mean? Are they necessary? How do we remove them?

It has been a while so i'm going on memory but I think the LockFile.lck is created when you are in a part file to keep someone else from saving to your file. See if the file goes away when you get out of Inventor. Like I said i'm going on memory so I may not have done you any good than if I had not responded at all.

Looks like you were correct. I can't find any locked files today.
