I HATE the print notification Balloon with AutoCAD 2005. when you print it pops up saying, "Print Successful" or some such nonsense. To turn it off, punch in TRAYNOTIFY into the command line and set it to 0. That will turn its useless blather off! I have to admit that i got this great tip from elsewhere, i don't remember from where or who but kudos to them!

Happy non-notifying!

or you can always right click on the arrow in the bottom left and click on tray settings and set it to go away after a short time, that way you can still know if you had any errors when plotting, so you don't walk all the way to the printer to find that your plot never left your computer.
