Merge / Delete cell in Table command

How can I merge cell in the table command? Also, how can I delete cells in the table command? I am not using Desltop smart objects. Just an AutoCAD table command. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Highlight / Select the cells in question, right-click, from pop-up menu pick relevant option.
