I'm finally getting to use ABS 2006 on a real project. But now I ran in to an issue:

I created a simple roof plan showing 6-7 Air Handling units and sent it to the architect. For some reason he can only see the unit labels.

I tested it in ADT 2004 here and it worked fine. I also tested it in ADT 2005 and 2006 just to be sure. The only thing I could think of is that the architect had his proxy graphics display turned off. I walked him through it and that didn't seem to help.

Any ideas?
Brian

I found what's causing the problem. I sent him a drawing that I had generated with E-transmit.

All the test i had done were on my original file. One I opened the e-transmit file with ADT 2005 I got the same issue. So, E-transmit is doing something funky to the Display Configurations of the file.

Any idea there?

Thanks,
Brian

Are you doing an eTransmit down to an earlier version? Let autodesk know you are having this issue. New releases are coming, and if this is something that can be fixed Autodesk would need to know about it now.

I'm saving the file as 2004 without exploding the AEC objects. When I open the file in ABS and then re-save, everything's fine, so there is a workaround.

I have asked Autodesk through their online support. Both they and my reseller are working on it.

Thanks,
Brian
