I have a glass block window (modified from one beegee posted). However, it is actiing a little funny. The sill is set at 5'6" in the following images:

"Top" - Cut plane at 6', top view range at 6'

"Mid" - Cut plane at 4', top view range at 6'

"Low" - Cut plane at 4', top view range at 4'

I was under the impression that the top view range only affected ceiling plans (yes, I'm sure I'm not in the ceiling plan). I'm confused as to why the glass block shows up when the cut plane is at 4', even if the top view range is at 6'. I'm also confused why the glass block shows up but not the opening cut...

Any ideas?[/img]

This is in fact the way the view range works in Revit.

There are only a few categories for which an element located above the Cut Plane but partially below the Top Clip is shown in plan. These categories include Windows, Casework, and Generic Model.
These objects are shown as viewed from above.

I think this is what you are seeing. The glass block is showing as viewed from above when partially below the top clip plane.

hmmm... interesting. what's the idea behind that? I would like to see all objects below the top clip plane but above the cut plane be displayed as <overhead> line style, but I can't immagine why you would want to have a window show up in the middle of your wall...
