Alright, we use sheetsets to organize our projects. One thing we utilize are fields. One of these fields dictates the number of sheets. So for example it looks something like this "SHEET 01 OF X", the X of course is a field. Now when we put the number of sheets in the sheet set properties everything is fine in AutoCAD, all the numbers show up in all the drawings etc. When we plot one drawing at a time they show up, the problem comes when we publish or batch plot the drawings for some reason random pages will decided to plot the numbers but most will just plot the default X.

Has anyone ever encountered this or knows a fix?

Thanks, and have a great day.

What are the settings for your Field Update Settings? This can be found in Options -> User Preferences ->Field Update Settings. Is the Plot option checked?

yes all are checked. I'm currently plotting a set with the background unchecked to see if that fixes the problem.

Well turning off background plotting seemed to fix the problem. I wonder if there's a way to fix the problem with background plotting enabled.

Hi "b_v_mc" ( Sorry, I do not know your real name )

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD General (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=120) forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

Thanks, Mike

I am afraid, not a solution ( sorry ), just highlighting the fact you are not alone when it comes to this particular issue / problem...

Fields in layout tabs not updating when using the Publish command (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=22299)

Field 'stuck' during print/publish (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=20254)

Have a good one, Mike
