I've goofed up some of our standard block files.
We have a mixture of AutoCAD 2006 & 2005. I've set up tool palletes to share some common symbol libraries.
Rather than experiment with a copy, I've made some of the files "dynamic" in 2006, thinking that the extra features will be ignored by 2005, as they share the same file format.
Wrong!
2005 can't find the altered blocks.

I'm not popular & can't find a way out, without redefining them in 2005.

Anyone had the same problem & found a solution?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide,

Jim

I don't know why the tools palette can't find your blocks, but i DO know that if I have a Dynamic Block with 3 visibilities and I insert it into an earlier version of CAD, the block loses its dynamic-ness and simply becomes an ordinary block. Whatever visibility state it WAS is what it becomes.
