Is it possible to create a metal stud wall family that would show up in plan spaced at any given spacing. Right now all the families show up as a solid wall and I would like a family that would show up as individual studs in plan and in 3D. Also is there a stud family that has the holes cut in the web of the stud that would show up in section. Right now a 6" stud wall shows up as just a solid stud.

Thanks for any help!

The short answer is no.

The long, Revit work around answer is yes, but it probably isn't worth the effort. Many people have suggested placing a curtain wall family inside the wall, setting the grid spacing to 16" and creating a stud profile to use as the "mullion". This won't accurately address the framing conditions that occur at doors, windows and so forth. We often need to show exactly how each wall is framed since we prefab most of them. I created some families for the steel framing which is manually placed in the wall. These families work pretty well, but it isn't worth the effort unless you actually need to show this much detail.
