View Full Version : Raster Design 2006 installation error

I'm hoping someone can help me out with my 2006 installation. To make a long story short, I had some registration issues which required me to uninstall and reinstall all of the 2006 components. What I think that I did was unistall Land Desktop before uninstalling Raster. Now my computer will not let me remove the raster design program in my add/remove programs window ("Error 25001. An unknown error occurred while trying to initialize Autodest Raster Design 2006 components.") In Autodesk support I found a document explaining how to remove autodesk raster design 2005 software from my system using the registry editor. I completed that process and I am still unable to remove the current installation. Thanks for any help.

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the Software (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=117) forum to this one, as I believe it will be better served here.

I had the same problem with RD & AutoCAD. I had to uninstall what I could, then go to the Microsoft website & download Windows Install Clean Up. After running that, I could reload CAD & RD.

I have had this same problem and fixed it. I don't have the procedure right now. Post back if still needed and I will take a look for it.

I had this same problem even after I used the Microsoft Windows installer. I did a remote with Autodesk on this issue and what we discovered is that there was a reference to Raster Design listed as the product number in the registry. We removed this and the associated installer and it resolved the issue.

For future reference, the Windows Installer Clean-up Utility can be found @
To prevent future problems, remember first loaded, last unloaded.
