Is there or are there any Nationally or Internationally recognized detailing/drafting standards for the Structural and misc steel industry?
Someone must have something that they use in their steel detailing shop.

I believe there are books available on this subject on Amazon.
Depends on your criteria - Design/Consultancy offices develop structural drawings from a design perspective with limited amount of information. Steel fabricators on the other hand will fully detail steelwork in consideration of the workshop and installation requirements.
I served my apprenticeship with a steel fabricator, when drawings were still done by hand - so would be willing to help you further if you have specific questions on this issue.

It may be worth calling some steel companies, i.e. Corus, Ayrshire, etc (or enquire online) and asking for cd's with their steel components, like a detailing library. I am sure they have electronic libraries because I have asked for them in the past while I was working for a structural engineering consultancy.

Are you looking for "Standard" details, or are you looking for drafting standards? If you need standard details, you may find some references, but most places (due to liability) won't give you true "Standard" details. I've done structural drafting for 4 years now and I've not had to modify a "Standard" detail.
