Dwf view not opening via hyperlink?

Has anyone ever noticed an issue where double clicking on a dwf file works fine, but clicking on a hyperlink doesn't open the file?

I've run into a situation where a hyperlink created in Access won't open the dwf, but if you manually browse to the dwf and double click on it, no problem.

It only affects machines that have the DWF view only, other machines that have other Autodesk software (Inventor, Vault, Composer), work fine.

Any ideas are appreciated.

I think I may have answered my own question. I uninstalled DWF 6.5, and installed 5.1, just for comparison. It appears that 5.1 works just fine, while 6.5 doesn't.

I'm going to try on a second machine to get confirmation. If it turns out that it works, then it could be that there's a bug.
