Here are a few things we have found after upgrading from ABS 2004 to ABS 2006:

Terminal - Flow Arrows: in 2004 we could select diffuser and see the grips for the flow arrows and use them to move the arrows to avoid "graphic overlap" with other stuff.

Problem with custom duct sizes: In 2004, when adding duct, we could enter any custom size. In 2006, we enter the custom size and then when we start to draw we get an error indicating something about the "shape or connection type not being in the current catalog".

Problem with Catalog Regeneration: we get a message from the Comm. Center indicating that a catalog needs to be regenerated. When we click on this we get an error realted to file permissions. This we regenerate catalogs manually from the pull-down menu it seems to work fine. FYI: we have these files on a network drive with several users pointing to them.

Any thoughts or help on this would be appreciated.

Did you just upgrade? Are you on Subscription? If so, that is unhappy timing, as ABS 2007 comes out in a few weeks. If you are on Subscription, you may want to redeploy to 2007 to avoid the agony of doing it again in a few months.

We did just upgrade and are on subscription. We are a larger firm that uses several Autodesk products (ADT, ABS, LDT, Civil 3D & Revit) so we will wait until all 2007 products have been released and then three months and/or for the first SP before deployment of the 2007 products.

We got behind on upgrades before I got involved... and feel this was a step in the right direction; users can start learning the '05 & '06 features over the next 4-6 months.
