Ladies and Gentlemen -

We are now getting on our regular schedule, the third Thursday of the month. In case you are not keeping track, that is Thursday 20 May 2004.

Basics:
Who: All users and future users of Autodesk Revit
What: Get together and talk
Why: We are scheduled for one
Where: WATG Newport Beach - Map link below
When: 20 May 2004, around 6:00 PM
THERE ARE 2 UNIVERSITY DRIVES IN THIS AREA - Click here for a map and directions http://www.watg.com/webdocs/NB%2Epdf

Agenda:
Like our meetings in the past, we will keep things relatively loose and maintain our "Open Agenda". Below are the proposed topics:

• Welcome and AUGI News
• A review of what’s new in Revit 6.1 presented by Cathy Hadley
• “Open Mic” – We may have time for an additional presentation – email me a topic if you would like to present
• The traditional “Show and Tell” so bring it if you’ve got it.
• Wrap up & Q&A
• Autodesk Raffle

Dinner Provided:
Dinner and drinks will be provided for all in attendance. We have done pizza in the past and may be able to get ribs and chicken. Please let me know if you have a preference on one or the other.

Misc:
There will be a laptop(s) and projector(s) available. If you want to bring a project to show, please put it on a USB memory drive.

RSVP is a MUST:
All are welcome; all I ask is that you let me know ahead of time (at least 2 days prior). Please email me if you plan on attending and how many you will be bringing. My email address in cryptic form is my first initial (j) last name (balding) @ watg.com (anti spam)

Thank you and good day –

You aren't going to pull any of that "sign this NDA so I can show you a sneak preview of 7.0" again, are you??

Last meeting:
JB:  "Hey look...7.0!"
The users:
JB: :P "April Fool's"

Any chance you could relocate the meeting to Malibu? Getting to Newport Beach from Santa Barbara through Los Angeles rush-hour traffic is near impossible.

Since I can’t make to your meetings I my have to start my own user’s group up here. I am thinking l like the sound of…

CCRUD - Central Coast Revit Users Dynasty

There is another users group just starting in the LA area. Check with LA CAD for location. http://www.lacad.com/home_aec.html

Or, I'll just post it here!

Los Angeles Revit Users Group Meeting

Our first meeting went very well and we thank all those who attended and to Randy Johnson from Autodesk for his excellent presentation. We had a diverse group, from small to big firms. It was exciting to see how many different ways everyone was applying Revit to their particular discipline.

At our next meeting on May 25th, we will continue our discussion on the implementation of Revit and its impact on the Design Process. We will also review the latest industry news.

Tom Weir will also be presenting a recent project he has been modeling, as well as some "families" that he has been creating, and show how they were developed. Please bring one of your projects and families too.

The meeting hours will be 5:30 PM to 8:00PM, and pizza will be provided by L.A. CAD. Computers and projectors will be available. Come and get your Revit t-shirt!

To RSVP. please contact Precious Yong at 213-534-1812.
