Summary: Be able to populate with hardware, multiple patterns of patterns.

Description: I would like to have more intelligent pattern handling. Patterns are inconsistent between sketches, features, and assemblies. These should all be made more contiguous. For example, I can do a pattern of a pattern of features, but I cannot place a component to this pattern of patterns.

How Used: When placing a fastener into an assembly, it should automatically recognize that it is being placed into a pattern or a non-uniform pattern and be able to self-replicate according to this pattern.

ADSK need to do a lot of work on Patterns in general, there is an inconsistency between functionality of sketch, feature and assembly patterns.
I generally agree with this as it is just a case of adding intelligence to Inv and the Place Component dialogue.
I would suggest that when the Place Component & Auto-Drop see that something is being placed in a pattern, Inv should open the Pattern dialogue and you can choose which parts of the pattern to populate.
I would also like to see more functionality in patterning.
For example be able to use Work Features to select direction.
Be able to select an offset angle from the selected direction, parallelogram
Fill and area with a pattern.
Choose a different starting point, why should be in the corner of a rectangular box ?
Even consider the option of 3D patterning.

Placing Components could be completely revised.
