I Would like to see a separate flip control for the retaining wall footing. It seems to display properly 50% of the time, depending on which way the wall was placed. Currently the only way I am aware to display it properly is to switch the dimensions around for the toe and heel. This than ends up being 2 separate types for the same footing. The other fix is to flip the wall, but depending on how the wall was inserted the wall will not flip about its centerline.

thanks,

Hey Jamie, just a quick tip that may help with this. The location line of your walls can be modified at anytime after initial placement without moving the wall itself. For example if you prefer to layout your foundation walls using core face interior/exterior for placement and then start adding retaining wall footings you can flip the odd one about the wall center by doing the following:

Right Click -> Properties on the wall

Change Location Line (top instance parameter under constraints) to: Wall Centerline and hit OK. Note: the wall will stay in it's placed location. Only the location line will move.

The wall should still be highlighted with the flip control still visible to select.

After the flip the wall should still be selected so you can right click properties and reset the wall location line.

Does this accomplish what you are after? Your wish would definitely be a quicker approach as long as it flipped about the wall centerline regardless of the placement method of the wall.

That is a solution that I have not thought about. I like it better than creating a new type. However it does still remain a wish to have a flip control built into the footing to flip about the centerline of the wall.
Thanks,
