View Full Version : Problems with Scale Attribute / Field in dwg title

I am occationally having some problems with the way AutoCAD 2006 automatically fills in the view scale in my drawing titles. If the viewport is a typical architectural scale (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16) everything works just fine. But when I use 3/32 scale or site scales (1"=20') the scale attribute in the drawing title gets diplayed as some off the wall fraction. Any ideas?

What I have been doing is editting these attributes manually after the view is placed on the sheet to get the correct scale to show up in the dwg title attribute.

What mechanism places the scale note? A lisp routine? A script? Is it an attribute? A field? AFAIK plain A2006 doesn't do that by itself.

Sorry.. it is a field (one of several) in the dwg title attribute block

Ah. Thank you.
Hang on. I'm sure someone who uses fields will be along soon.

You can adjust that field. It appears to be linked to the viewport object. The viewport object has many different properties that can be displayed. Try editing the field to see if you can get the information you are looking for.

Hi "tim.101799" ( Sorry, I do not know your real name )

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD General (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=120) forum to this one, as I feel this particular forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

Thanks, Mike
