2006 to 2007 Dynamic Block Migration

My 2006 Dynamic Blocks don't want to play with my brand-spanking-new install of 2007. When I try to insert, I get the following error message Block XYZ references itself *Invalid*

I read in the Help files that Tool Palettes do not translate between versions (WHY!?!?!). Do the Dyn Blocks have the same problem? That would not make any sense to me, so hopefully there is a better answer out there. Thanks in advance for your input.

Operator Error.

I could not just drag the parent acad.dwg file onto a Tool Palette. I needed to reference the dynamic block itself inside the parent drawing.
