The Croft didn't appeal for some reason ~ I normally like stuff like that but I think maybe it tries too hard

My Favourite is Ireland in the Traditional section ~ I like the informal shack types more & more these days detailing is elegant as well

Definitely the Eco-Croft house gets my nod.

Speaking of sod roofs, I read an article in the back of Fine Homebuilding a while back. Can anyone attest to their lasting 80 to 100 years? Damn! On second thought that was a thatched roof. How long do those go between rebuilds?
