Many of my students are surprised to find that there are so many different selection options when asked to "select objects"...just for review for all of us, here they are- (add any that I missed!) Fence works great for operations like trimming wall lines out under window sills if the window sills reside atop the wall lines and you can't pickbox 'em.

All for ALL
W for Window
L for Last object drawn/inserted
P for the Previous selection Set
C for Crossing Window
F for (crossing) Fence
CP for Crossing Polygon
WP for Window Polygon
G for named Groups
SI for Single object

There's also BOX and AUto, but I don't see much usefulness to them!

Other than the SSX functions, did I miss any?

Here are the Selection Set methods I try to use on a regular basis (ie. and not just during a regular "select objects" moment)

- Use shift key to remove objects from a selection set

- Use R and A to Remove and Add objects

- When selecting objects, you can cycle through many objects by holding down the ctrl key and clicking the left mouse button

- Create groups

- Use the 'Filter to select obejcts with specific paramters (eg. a circle with a particular radius)

- Use the QSELECT command (much like 'Filter)

- Use the PSELECT command to select a previous selection set c/w grips

- Use the Express Tool 'FS (express tool for fast select) (sysvar: fsmode)

- Select objects (so grips highlight) -> click on edge of object -> drag to move

- Select objects (so grips highlight) -> hold down ctrl key -> click on edge of object -> drag to copy

- Hold down delete key and then click objects to erase

How about SSX (ssx.lsp)?
