Using AEC Dims on a curved & Splayed walls

Trying to do a cresent of houses but using AEC dims they don't work.

Is there a way of setting up the AEC Dim style so it will do dims on a curve of segments of a wall that make up a curve?

At the moment we have shown the dims using standard cad dims which is a pain to use.

Are you looking to get a string that will show a linear dimension, then a radius dim, back to a linear dim? From what I know you can't do it all with the same tool. The last time I tried to use the AEC dim tool on a curved surface, it created a big linear string and set points at evey facet.
Someone may have some tricks up thier sleave....
