Howdy y'all. I'm putting this in here simply because I didn't want to double-post in the Revit forums.
I've had a copy of LDT 2004 on my computer at home for about a month. This past weekend, I downloaded a trial version of Revit. That was the last significant thing I did. Yesterday, my machine won't boot-up. I can only start it in safe mode. It may be something else but I'm also wondering if LDT and Revit are causing problems. I've got the home edition of Windows XP.

Have you tried restoring your system back to a previous System Restore Point?

Have you tried a resotring your system back to a previous System Restore Point? About five times with points going back to the beginning of the month (Revit was installed this past weekend)
Hi Doug,
Please note I have *moved* this thread from the LDT General (http://http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=65) Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.
Thanks,

Well, I tried again setting my system back to a System Restore Point as far back as I could go: about five weeks ago. My home computer works again. But now I want to uninstall LDT and Revit, but they are not listed on Add or Remove Programs list through the Control Panel, though they still reside on the hard drive. I suppose I'll have to go through a reinstall process before I can uninstall each of them.

As a post script: Once I had my computer restarted, I couldn't use any of the Office programs like Word or Excel. When I tried them, I got a message that the SBERET.MSI file could not be found. I had to dig the Office XP for Small Business CD out from the garage.
First, I'm thankful that Dell sent all the CDs along with the computer when I bought it. Second, I'm glad that the CDs survived in the garage in Texas.
