Examples of some API

I am a newbie to API and was wondering if any one would be willing to post some examples of some API that would change wall, door and windows with new families if possible.

Both the V8 and V9 CD's have a number of examples in the SDK folder also you can download them from here. (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=2484975)

And where are the *.dll files to execute the api's???

And where are the *.dll files to execute the api's???You'll need to compile the samples yourself in order to get the dlls. Not including the dll eliminates a potential security risk if you needed to email them for example.
