I have a problem viewing 3D XREF and inserted Blocks that have been placed at a different orientation from the original file. see attached drawing file.
The display settings are
Smoothness 2000
Segments 8
Rendered object smoothness 0.5
Contour lines per surface 0
Whenresetting the contour lines it shows more of the object but they do not appear the same.
Any ideas out there?

Both HIDE and SHADE show what I assume is correct so, is the problem really a problem?
Anyway, changing the "contour lines per surface" to a positive value (16 is good) followed by REGENALL seems to make it display better.

the hide and shade work well but it is hard to work with a large model with hide and shade on. Changing the contour lines to 16 also works but when plotted it looks bad. Plotting still produces a correct view it only effects the display.
This appears to be a bug in AutoCAD.

In Options\Display\Display performance, check the box for Show silhouetes in wireframe. This will make your plots look better when you plot a hidden viewport plot.
Also, change your isolines setting to a number greater than 4 then regenerate. It is currently set to 0. (type ISOLINES at the command line)
