I would like to be able to hatch walls that land on a floor while shading walls below with a different hatch. I created the attached files with Revit but had to use filled regions to get the shading to work. I have been messing with the materials trying to get the walls above when cut to show the hatch pattern while the walls below would get a different hatch pattern. They are the same wall type. Basically what I am trying to do indicate graphically the structural walls above and below a floor. The structural walls above a floor would get one type of hatch while the structural walls below a floor would get different hatch pattern. The non-structural walls would be drawn with out any hatch. What can I do to accomplish this with out having to draw hatches by hand.

Presuming your cut plane is above the floor level somewhat, override the visibility graphics for the wall category in projection and cut. That way you can control line weights and color fills forthe same wall type. At least that is one way to do it.

Any way you know of to hatch a wall if it is not cut. I figured out how to hatch or change the graphics of the walls above. I noticed that there is a property for each wall type called Course Scale fill pattern and Course Scale Fill Color. These only seam to work when the wall is cut. How can I shade the wall when it is not cut, for example, when the wall is below the cut plane.
