Hi folks.

I'm having a weird thing happening to door thresh holds. In the exterior door styles drawing, I have turned them all on and made them flush to the wall.

In the interior walls styles drawing, I have turned them all off.

OK...ok....

I have updated my template with the updated changes.

When I start a new drawing, using the template, the doors act weird.

The thresh holds are turned on. (weird number one)

When I right-click on an interior door, I edit the thresh hold display (again) and turn them off.
When I exit the display change, ALL the doors change, regardless of style, race, creed, religion!! The exterior turns off also. (weird number two).

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Marv

Did you do this in the "standard" style. Those changes will take effect across the board. Just a thought.

The standard style in the source styles drawing or where??

If you change the "Standard" style of any object in ADT, either in the template, or in the current drawing, those changes will effect every door style in that template or drawing from my understanding. So in your template file, maybe you have a door style called "Interior" and one called "Exterior" that you set this parameter in. ADT dosen't know the difference between an exterior wall and an interior wall. I could be totally off my rocker on this, but I believe that what I've said here is gennerally correct.

Thresholds, in plan views, are a display issue. If you are making the display changes at the Drawing Default level, it will affect all doors that do not have a Style-level or Object-level display override.

Of which type of door you have more: exterior or interior? Set up the drawing default display setting for those doors. Then set up a style-level override for the Display Representations that control thresholds [out-of-the-box, Threshold Plan and Threshold Plan Screened] for each door style of the other type, and change the display settings as desired.
