Gate Valve family trouble

Can someone please give me some advice on how to finish this family. I have pretty much everything set except for the blend in the family. I am trying to constrain the blend to the "top valve body" and the "stem bottom" reference planes. Every time I try to lock the blend to the "stem bottom" reference plane it gives me an error. Any help would be appreciated.

I changed the workplane the solid was using and flipped it around, locked to reference plane below...seems to work now. Hope it helps.
